What your EDV needs, and when.
EVs skip oil changes, but tires, brakes, filters and the A/C still need attention. Here is what Rivian recommends, and what we check.
Tire rotation
Every 6,000 miles, or on a fleet plan
Rivian gives fleet options: rotate every 6,000 miles with infrequent inspections, rotate once at 50% wear with standard inspections, or replace tires in axle pairs with frequent inspections.
Wheel alignment
As needed
Check if tires wear unevenly, the vehicle pulls, or after suspension work or a hard impact.
Multi-point inspection
Every 12,000 miles
Tires, brake pads, suspension and lug-nut torque, glass, fluid levels, washer jets and wiper blades.
Comprehensive inspection
Every 36,000 miles
Adds brake fluid moisture test, rotor thickness, coolant protection, low-voltage battery, driver-assistance sensors and underbody checks.
Brakes
At each inspection
Pads checked every 12,000 miles and rotors every 36,000 miles. Inspect sooner if you notice noise or vibration.
Brake caliper cleaning and lubrication
Every 12 months or 12,000 miles if driving on salted roads
Florida roads are not salted, so this usually does not apply here.

Intervals based on manufacturer guidance. Where Rivian gives no specific interval, we say “inspect regularly” or “as needed”. Your vehicle’s own manual and app reminders take priority, and intervals can change by model year.
